**Job Id:** 213 **# of Openings:** 1 **Shipping & Receiving/Warehouse - Night Shift** **Job description** The Superior Die, Tool & Machine Company is a family-owned manufacturer of Stamping Dies, Sheet Metal Stampings and Machining services. We provide Stamping and Machine shop services throughout the Midwest for a variety of customers. We have two plants located in Columbus, Ohio servicing the automotive, agriculture and heavy truck industries. Due to growth, we are currently adding a Shipping & Receiving Assistant Manager position. Flexibility and a willingness to work overtime are a must. **Responsibilities:** Loading trucks, unloading trucks, and staging shipments to be loaded using a forklift; may operate a forklift with a weight capacity up to 20,000 lbs. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications / provides assistance to the inspection department. Compares identifying information, checking counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments. Verifies information against bills of lading, invoices and / or orders. Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage. Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. Determines method of shipment. Must be computer literate as the responsibilities will include generating shippers, using spreadsheets and our inventory system (Made2Manage). Scheduling shipments in multiple customer portals, Cycle counting and reporting of inventory levels Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments. Operates lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. This position will Interface directly with the outside trucking companies and truck drivers picking up or dropping off deliveries. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Performs a daily forklift inspection to include monitoring oil and lube levels on the forklifts. **Working Hours:** Candidates must be willing and able to work according to the needs of the business which can include 6-days to 7-days a week with shifts ranging from 8-hour to 12-hour shifts. Flexibility is a must as schedules can be unpredictable. **Physical Demands / Essential Functions:** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. Lifting requirements will include the ability to lift and move up to 70-lbs. Automotive experience is a bonus. Strong mathematical skills are necessary.
