The Materials Distribution Specialist receives materials and built machines, picks customer orders and packs materials for shipment. May perform Inventory Control responsibilities to resolve parts discrepancies. May fill work orders for kits to be built in logistics area. Job tasks completed in logistics warehouse environment. The position is located in North Bend, Washington.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Parts Picking: fill customer orders. Follow orders pick list to picking parts from various stock locations in warehouse, including customer and assembly orders. Deliver to shipping area for packing and shipment. May release customer orders from AS400 for picking.
Shipping: pack parts for shipping. Items can be retrieved by hand or using a hand truck or forklift. Pack parts in appropriate container for shipping. Works in woodshop building pallets and boxes. Review part/item requests. Identify parts/items that need to be shipped. Gather the appropriate part(s)/items(s) from the warehouse, or a specific shop in the plant. Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers. Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape, using strapping (banding) machine. Package the part(s)/items(s) for shipping.
Required Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Willingness to submit for pre-employment background check and drug screening
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A working knowledge of material distribution and inventory control or previous shipping/receiving experience.
Sufficient human relations skills to gain cooperation with others and convey technical information.
Proficient in reading, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
Salary: The compensation for this position is $22.32 hourly. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
