Position Overview: We are seeking compassionate and experienced caregivers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of memory care clients and its associated challenges, along with a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of our clients and their families. This role involves providing attentive and personalized care to individuals living with Alzheimer's and Dementia, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive personal care and assistance to clients with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, medication reminders, meal preparation, and light housekeeping and laundry.
- Implement therapeutic interventions and techniques to manage symptoms and enhance quality of life.
- Utilize effective communication techniques to engage and connect with clients.
- Support clients' physical and emotional well-being through appropriate exercises and activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience, specifically with Alzheimer's and Dementia clients.
- In-depth knowledge of Alzheimer's and Dementia, including symptom management.
- Empathetic and compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing situations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant healthcare certification is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
