Category Manager, Raw MaterialsLocated in North Barrington, ILMy client a food ingredient manufacturing company is recruiting for a Category Manager to join their dynamic team. This position is located in the North Barrington area and is a hybrid schedule (2 days in office).Category Manager, Raw Materials -Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this position will be responsible for leading the procurement of raw materials and packaging.Responsibilities will include:Negotiations, purchasing and risk management for food commodities- flavors, sweeteners, spices, etc.Development and management of suppliersWork cross functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Finance and Customer ServiceLead and manage ingredient and packaging categoriesThe ideal candidate:BA/BS is required5 + years of experience in a strategic sourcing role5+ years of experience sourcing raw materials for a manufacturing companyExperience working with ERP systemsProven negotiation experience and supplier relationship building experienceMy client is offering a generous compensation package including bonus.
