Preschool English teacher

Job Details

The French American Academy of Englewood, a bilingual preschool and elementary school, is seeking an English Teacher for the 2024-25 school year.

Students learn in the context of a bilingual French-English program therefore the English teacher must be able to work in close collaboration with French teachers.

The successful candidate will teach English Language Arts, Math and Science. The teacher may be responsible for English language instruction in more than one grade level. Ideally, the candidate will as experience in an international or bilingual school environment. We are looking for a teacher who:

• Is a native english speaker
• Has preschool experience, 3 years minimum
• has training in Early Childhood or Childhood Education with a bachelor's degree
• Is interested in working in a bilingual French/English setting
• Has strong writing and speaking skills in English
• Has a student-centered approach
• Create a nurturing, safe classroom community
• Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests
• Create a nurturing and safe classroom community
• Enjoys collaborating on curriculum and project-based learning
• Is adaptable, flexible, and creative
• Is willing to teach several different grades
• Has a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
• Proficiency in French is a plus
