**Responsibilities**

* Process quotes for TGS bid preparation and price justification on a wide variety of commodities

* Generate Purchase Orders using TGS purchase requisitions in the standard allowed time and ensure adequate supply base exists

* Procure parts at prices consistent with TGS target prices/purchasing policies.

* Purchase complex machine parts and gears using competitive purchasing strategies.

* Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives

* Compiles information from periodicals, catalogs, and other sources to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes

* Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers operations to determine factors that affect process and determines best value consistent with quality, reliability, and the ability to meet required schedules

* Review proposals, negotiates process, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follow up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records

* Purchases on U.S. Government programs are to be purchased in accordance with our Small Business Administration goals and procedures

* Cost and Pricing Data submittals per FAR and ITAR Restrictions

* Purchase parts in accordance with our Inventory goals and objectives; monitor and take action to reduce inventory.

* HPT team lead supply chain representative for programs.

**Qualifications**

* Bachelors degree in Business or related field required

* 2-5 years related experience in an aerospace/manufacturing environment preferred

* Ability to function well in a fast paced, high pressure environment

* Computer skills including inventory software

* Ability to work self-directed

* Flexible to work overtime and weekends as required

* Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing principles preferred

* Knowledge of U.S. Government (FAR & DFAR) and Commercial purchasing practices preferred
