Crucial Link is hiring for a Production Associate in Wadsworth, OH!

Temp to Hire: $15/hr to start

M-F 6:30am - 3:00pm

Summary: Performs production and floor operations in assigned division of the company, by operating machinery or performing manual operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists with inspection of wheels and/or panels.
  • Ensures production of parts or products meets work instructions.
  • Ensures proper communication regarding production delays and/or issues.
  • Loads and unloads wash line, stacks wheels on pallets/racks for movement to next station and/or shipment, wipes and stacks panels.
  • Loads and unloads materials, parts or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors or tables.
  • Removes burrs or excess metal, and/or creates a uniform finish on machined part with media material operating a manual booth or using a hand tool.
  • Delivers metal parts or stock to designated work areas for machining/processing.
  • Removes metal chips and shavings from surfaces of machines and wipes surfaces of machines.
  • Cleans around work areas.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to constantly move about the facility floor. The individual constantly operates motorized equipment and machines. The individual needs to occasionally move about on the shop floor to transport parts, access tools, equipment, parts, and other necessary items to complete the work order. The individual frequently positions self to operate or maintain the machine. They use their hands continuously while performing all job duties. Most of the activities involve fine and gross manipulation of items, through the use of hand tools. They must be able to exchange accurate information with other individuals in the office and shop. They must be able to detect mechanical issues and part defects from short distances to determine what action needs to be taken. They must regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds. The individual must be capable of carrying and loading different parts and tools required to do the job.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
The individual is required to wear personal protective equipment as situations dictate during their work on the facility floor, due to exposure to machinery. During warmer months, the required personal protective equipment may cause the employee to be very warm while working.
