Inova Springfield Healthplex is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the team
Schedule: FullTime; day shift (7am - 7pm)
This Free-Standing Emergency Unit services the local community:
- 80-105 patients a day, with approximately 20% pediatric patients
- Average LOS 96 mins
- 4-5:1 patient to nurse ratio
- Ventilator trained nursing and EMT staff

Job Summary: - Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
- Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
- Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
- Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
Requirements: Requires a minimum of twelve months of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
- Strongly prefer 2 years plus of ED RN experience
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
- If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
- Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required
- CEN/ACLS certification desired
- Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others
- Proficient computer skills required.
