Overview:
AutoCareer Connect is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our partner's team in Burien, WA. This role is essential for maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, brake repairs, etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
- Perform thorough inspection of vehicles and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify potential issues and make appropriate repairs.
- Collaborate with other repair team members to ensure timely completion of work.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the service bay.
- Keep accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift).
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus.
- A valid driver's license.
Additional Information:
This position is based in Burien, WA and may require flexible working hours, including some weekends.
