Job Functions: Unloads material from trucks and shipping containers. Verify material using packing slips, and purchase orders. Receives material to the dock and stages for QA. Receives material to inventory, and places into correct location. Fills shortages to job location.
Accountabilities:- Follow safety guidelines to support a safe working environment
- Provide support to co-workers to ensure workload is complete by the end of the day
- Follow 5S guidelines to promote an organized and efficient work area
Other Job Duties: - Conducts initial delivery inspections to separate returned goods from received material and make a freight damage determination.
- Conducts secondary delivery inspections. Works with purchasing to resolve problems that prohibit receiving items correctly.
- Conducts secondary delivery inspections for returned items from customers. Works with customer service representatives to resolve item/quantity. discrepancy.
- Verifies quantities of received materials.
- Receives material in Haws Receiving System, prints labels and the receiving document. Stages the material for QA.
- After material passes QA inspection puts material to warehouse location physically, and in Haws Receiving System.
- Fill shortages to the job location that have been identified by Haws Receiving System to be on the shortage list.
- Unless on the shortage list parts will be processed first in first out.
- Safely uses forklifts, or pallet jacks in removing material from delivery trucks, moving throughout the facility, and putting material away to the pallet racks. Be able to maintain forklift certification. Provide forklift support as needed throughout the facility.
- Re-palletize material that is not stable, restack in a stable configuration, and wrap with shrink wrap if necessary. Put pallets in pallet racks in a condition that they may be easily and safely removed by parts pullers.
- Aids in cycle counting when required.
- Must be willing to cross train in other areas when work is slow.
- Must use approved hand tools in a safe manner.
- Unloads and palletizes shipping containers.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Keeps work area clean and organized per 5S program standards
- Ability to achieve working knowledge of computers, tablets and scanners
- Ability to read and comprehend procedures documented in English
- Ability to calculate basic math: add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Maintains flexibility of tasks assignments
- Must have a good attitude and attendance
- All other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
