Job Description
Under direction of the Parts Manager, the Parts Warehouse Assistant performs variety of shipping/receiving, stocking, and inventory verification for Heavy Duty semi-trailer parts.
Verifies incoming stock orders, organizes inventory, and coordinates outgoing shipments with UPS/FedEx and LTL carriers.
Approximately 1/3 to of time will be dedicated to local pick up and deliveries of parts in a passenger/cargo style van (Central Oregon).
This position requires forklift certification to load/unload trucks and on-site mobilization of inventory (can be trained and certified on site).
The right person for this job must be self-motivated to maintain and run a highly organized stockroom/warehouse. Some inventory can be greasy, dirty, heavy and/or awkward. Must present self well every day, not be afraid to get a little dirty.
***Job responsibilities:*** Receives and inspects all incoming orders and reconciles with purchase orders, processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies and orders received.
Makes deliveries as requested, maintains records of deliveries.
Fills supply requisitions; assists purchase agent in verifying inventory and supplies on hand.
Receives, stores, tags and tracks all incoming inventory
Maintains the warehouse, records area and public space of building in a neat and orderly manner
Puts heavy duty parts inventory away in bin locations, and pulling customer orders in a warehouse
Uses picking/step ladder to put away/pull inventory off shelves (5 ladder).
