Job Details

This position is responsible for incoming receiving inspections aircraft components for a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 145 Repair Station Quality Management System. Documents assessments of all incoming materials and monitors the inspection hold area for all rejected material. Accomplishes acceptance inspections and tags parts and material sent out for outside labor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for proper inspection processes in the shipping and receiving department.Performs incoming inspection on incoming purchased articles.Perform hidden damage inspections on all incident and accident-related work orders.Document inspection results.Monitor inspection hold area for all rejected articles.Inspect sales articles and packing slips. Sign the material certifications.Ensure all compliance of Company inspection standards, methods, and procedures.Secure and maintain technical data on assigned areas.Perform internal audit as an ongoing process, and discrepancies and corrective actions are documented and resolved.Ensure accuracy and completeness of required documents and of all materials to specifications.Follow and adhere to all policies and regulations.Back up department functions and perform other duties as assigned.Report to work on a regular and consistent basis.REQUIRED ABILITY TO:Focus and deliver results.Achieve targeted results with minimal supervision.Proficiently utilize MS Office.Commit to passionately and consistently promoting a professional culture that is trustworthy, honest, and socially responsible while championing an energetic and positive work culture.Promote and carry out the objectives of the organization in a positive and professional manner.Build commitment to team, company, mission and customer through direct communication and positive role modeling.Build alliances, partnerships and collaboration with co-workers in a tactful, professional and respectful manner.Arrange competing priorities to meet goals and deadlines.Resolve workplace differences and conflict to achieve goals and objectives in a professional manner.Generate new ideas and encourages the team to do the same; provide creative solutions and input when faced with challenges.Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening to others attentively and retaining and processing information.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma or equivalent.Eighteen (18) months of experience performing the type of work which they will be inspecting.FAA Airframe and Power Plant or Airframe License or be eligible for an FAA Repairman's Certificate in accordance with FAR Part 65.Familiarity with aviation industry, aircraft knowledge and technical documents.DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelor s degree in related field from an accredited institution.Three (3) or more years in an inspection capacity performing the type of work which they will be inspecting.WORKING CONDITIONSFrequent work in an office environment with extended computer use and paperwork.Frequent work in a production and controlled environment setting.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and have freedom of movement to enable inspection of interior and exterior of small to large uniquely shaped parts.Must have a good vision and be able to stand for extended periods of time.
