Stand Together seeks a Director of Marketing to create and implement marketing plans within our Development (fundraising) team, fostering substantial growth and engagement with existing and new donor partners. The ideal candidate will possess fundraising knowledge, a strong grasp of marketing principles, and a commitment to driving positive societal change through collaboration with our best-in-class Development team. This role involves crafting and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to increase awareness, engagement, and action among Stand Together's donor partner audience.

The Director serves as an active participant on the leadership team by implementing strategic fundraising and marketing strategies to drive transformation through cultivating long-term partner relationships.

Your Responsibilities Include

    • Create and execute an annual comprehensive and strategic marketing plan for the Development (fundraising) capability with targeted goals, objectives, tactics, quantifiable outcomes, and timelines
    • Develop content strategies and creative concepts that resonate with our partner (donor) audiences and inspire engagement and action towards Stand Together's vision and priorities
    • Create and manage marketing campaigns for fundraising and donor communications across multiple channels, including direct mail, email, phone, event collateral and other channels
    • Collaborate with senior leaders and team members to align marketing strategies with specific fundraising goals and the organizational vision.
    • Continuously conduct and analyze market trends and audience insights to inform marketing strategy and tactics
    • Develop investment proposals for marketing activations that employ sound decision-making framework and testing/experimentation methodologies where appropriate
    • Develop communication touchpoints with key stakeholders to ensure an effective flow of knowledge and feedback
    • Define key performance indicators and track and report on the success of marketing campaigns
    • Collaborate with various Marketing leaders across the Stand Together organization for consistency and knowledge sharing (MarComms, ST Music, Sports and Entertainment, etc)


Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
    • 7+ years of professional experience in marketing strategy and execution in fundraising, business development, or sales with a proven track record of driving transformational results at scale (familiarization with donor relations and Moves Management strategies)
    • Proven experience building lifecycle strategies designed to identify, engage and retain target audiences over the long-term.
    • Vision and strategy leader. Champion of Stand Together's vision by modeling and applying our guiding principles in business and interpersonal interactions and inspiring others to do the same
    • Passion for social impact marketing and alignment with Stand Together's vision for change through experimental discovery and creative problem solving
    • Proven success in translating organizational vision and high-level objectives into strategic and actionable integrated marketing plans with clear goals and KPIs
    • Demonstrated experience understanding the needs of different audience/stakeholder segments and developing appropriate and innovative marketing products and communication strategies
    • A proven leader and team player with experience in inspiring and collaborating with cross-functional teams by promoting a clear vision to support shared business priorities
    • Experience building strong relationships with key internal/external partners and senior level stakeholders within complex and matrixed organizational structures
    • Proven experience or proficiency utilizing a wide array of integrated marketing channels, tools, and platforms
