The Field Support Technician Associate, under direct supervision, is responsible for assisting with new device installation and providing general support assistance with client-side desktop technology.

Your Everyday

GENERAL DUTIES

Operational Support and Maintenance:

  • Utilizes tools and equipment required to image, update, and support end-user desktop hardware.
  • Installs desktop hardware and software on to the corporate network and directory infrastructure as defined by corporate policies and procedures.
  • Performs routine maintenance and installation of hardware and software to end-user desktop devices in a timely manner.
  • Maintains strict monitoring, administration, documentation, and escalation (as required) of assigned service tickets ensuring defined SLAs are maintained.
  • Remains compliant by ensuring timely and accurate information supporting moves, adds, changes of deployed hardware is updated in the asset management inventory system.


Project Support:
  • Assists with deployment of new end-user desktop hardware.


Other duties as required:
  • Participates in an on-call rotation as required, able to travel between facilities.
  • Maintains professional communication at all times.
  • Ensures accountability through timely follow-through and escalation as required.
  • Performs other required duties as assigned.


The Must-Haves

Minimum:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience.
  • Preferred: Continuing education in a related field of study.

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated logical problem-solving capability.
