PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled Painter to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in Manassas, VA. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Requirements:
- High school diploma and US citizenship required.
- Experience with detailed painting aircraft or automobiles is required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Candidates must be local to the Manassas, VA area as position is an onsite position.
- Ability to paint and experience with detailed work like auto painting is desired.
- Ability to read/comprehend engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, use of fine motor skills needed.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque wrenches, etc..
- Requires a self-starter, someone reliable and able to work independently.
- Analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills required.
- Being committed to teamwork and having excellent interpersonal communication skills required.
- Ability to define and communicate problems verbally and in writing.
- Contributes to a positive team culture by building effective relationships with others, contributing to Operations Excellence Teams (OETs) and accountable for assigned tasks.
- Ability to follow all safety procedures including use of protective equipment.
- Looking for a candidate able to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
- Candidate with military experience is highly desired.
