Mechanical Assembler jnf
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Produces components and finished hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors on several different product lines by assembling parts and subassemblies.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
Uses hand tools, assembly fixtures, or power tools to assemble parts.
Examines connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
Resolves assembly problems by notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of previous assembly work. Experience with hydraulic assembly a plus.
Ability to interpret technical drawings including schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
Mechanical aptitude.
Simple math skills.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
