CareSTL Health is seeking full-time a Registration Clerk responsible for completing the patient registration process by collecting patient demographic information and insurance coverage.
Duties:
* Determines appropriate fees based on a sliding fee scale and establishes payment plans
* Scans documents into patients' electronic record
* Verifies and documents all forms of insurance coverage and maintains appropriate information in patient's electronic record
* Interviews patients and document necessary demographic information as well as review appropriate policies and regulations including HIPAA
* Prepares daily deposits and reconciles tally sheets
A Successful Candidate:
* Good computer skills including MS Office Suite is required
* Ability to type at least 30 wpm with 80% accuracy or better required
Qualifications:
* Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
* Experience: 1-2 years experience in a health care setting as a Registration Clerk or related field. 1-2 years experience in customer service which included the collection of data.
* Other: Must have reliable transportation.

Additional Information:
Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
