Job Description / Essential Elements:

Wear appropriate dress that reflects your professional position as a teacher.

Reserve cell phone use to non-duty time (lunch, )

Arrive at school at lease 30 minutes before the class begins and stay at least 15 minutes after the class has ended. unless other responsibilities have been assigned

Report to the school secretary and sign in as directed. Indicate the teacher for whom you are substituting. Th office has been notified that you will be on campus this day.

Learn the correct attendance procedure. Follow the regular teacher's lesson plan closely.

Substitutes are normally required to correct assignments unless the teacher has left other instructions.

Substitute teachers are required to leave a brief note indicating what transpired during the day.

Report to the school secretary before leaving for the day to turn in your key and sign your slip for payroll.

All video, films and AV equipment selected by the substitute must be approved by the site principal prior to presentation to the class.

Requirements / Qualifications

* Must have valid California Emergency 30-day Substitute Permit or California Teaching Credential.

(If you do not have a valid Emergency 30-day Substitute Permit and wish to obtain one through our District:
You must provide us with the following upon a scheduled meeting:
*Bachelor degree transcripts showing a Bachelor Degree,
*CBEST Test or equivalent (we can discuss)
* Fingerprinting through California Teaching Commission (we can help schedule this)

This is an applicant pool for substitute teachers during the School Year.
