**Duties**
** Summary**
This position is located in the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO), Program Development, Coordination, and Support Directorate (PDCS), Office of Design and Engineering (DE), Interior Design Division (ID). The incumbent serves as an Inventory Management Specialist in the Interior Design Division.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintains account records to include routine interventions resulting from changes in usage rate, pricing, additional vendors, and other similar activities.
+ Oversees the procurement function within the Division, including preparation of all purchase requests via an electronic system.
+ Analyzes project funds status and coordinates shipping, delivery and installation with project schedules.
+ Closely tracks and monitors the flow of materials from origin through shipment, consolidation and storage, to final distribution and shipment to overseas posts or general contractors central receiving point .
+ Coordinates warehouse and storage services, working with domestic warehouses and contractor central receiving point.
+ Coordinates with project interior designer, OBO senior management, contracting officer, furniture vendors, and domestic warehouses.

** Qualifications**
Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements, including education and any selective placement factors described below by the closing date of this announcement. If you are qualifying based on education OR if there are mandatory education requirements listed below, you MUST submit a copy of your college transcript with your application.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
**Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:**
+

Experience in written and verbal communication to provide customer service and facilitate dialogue with interior designers, senior management, furniture vendors, overseas customers, contracting specialists, construction contractor, and domestic warehouses.
+

Experience coordinating systems furniture and freestanding furniture specifications and in providing guidance to interior designers on the submission of procurement packages and monitoring progress to facilitate the logistics and procurement management process.
+ Experience processing systems furniture and freestanding furniture purchase requests and modifications for a large-scale commercial facility, to include coordination with interior designers, furniture vendors and overseas customers. There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.
