Holcim is 70,000 people around the world who are passionate about building progress for people and the planet through four business segments: Cement, Ready-Mix Concrete, Aggregates and Solutions & Products.Description:ABOUT THE ROLE:Holcim US, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to support operations at the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. This position will be responsible for installing and assembling new machines and equipment. Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery. This position hours are typically between 10:00pm-7:00am. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the business.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:Diagnosing and repairing machine failures.Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines throughout the plant.Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.Installing replacement parts.Schedule repairs for faulty equipment or damaged structures.Perform general maintenance of the plant and grounds.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Education: High school diploma or equivalentRequired Work Experience: 3 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in a plant or industrial environment.Considerable knowledge of the practices, tools, materials, equipment, methods and techniques of the electrical/mechanics tradeKnowledge of the applicable occupational hazards and safety precautionsKnowledge of electrical/mechanical theorySkill in the use of tools and equipmentAbility to locate and correct defects in electrical and mechanical systemsAbility to read blueprints and schematic drawingsExcellent oral communication skills with close attention to detailRequired Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skillsAnalytical thinking skillsAbility to work in inclement weather and fluctuating temperatures, climbing ladders, scaffolding, and descending underground, as well as exposure to the hazards of working in confined spaces with high voltage electricity.Ability to lift 50lbsReliable transportationLicenses Required: N/AStrong safety orientationMust be able to work second shift hours as directed by supervisor, typical start time between 10:00pm-7:00amAbility to work Monday through Friday, and occasional SaturdaysAdditional Requirements:Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
