Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Scheduler is responsible for developing baseline construction schedules and tracking actual work progress for projects in planning, design, acquisition, and construction phases at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in the areas of project controls, scheduling, earned value management, and construction activity tracking.
  • Provide scheduling support services during the strategic planning, mission analysis, and project development phase.
  • Review project schedules and make recommendations for corrections and adjustments as required.
  • Coordinate the contractor schedule with the team and the stakeholders.
  • Review contractor payment requests
  • Update monthly construction schedule with narratives and progress analysis.
  • Coordinate and merge different subprojects into a master schedule.
  • Maintain and monitor program and project level CPM.
  • Monitor and report program milestones and interdependencies between subprojects
  • Identify critical path and suggest alternatives.
  • Analyze contractor schedules and report on acceptability of schedule revisions; may include Time Impact Analysis for Requests for Equitable Adjustments or Claims.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:
  • Preference will be given to licensed Engineer (any discipline).
  • Advanced Primavera P6 skills are required.
  • At least five years of experience in engineering and construction schedules, and experience as a project scheduler.
  • Having security clearance is highly desirable.
  • Experience developing, sequencing, and maintaining construction schedules.
  • Experience in Government building construction.
  • Ability to analyze the construction contractor's prepared cost-loaded Network Analysis Schedule (NAS)
  • Ability to identify potential conflicts and constraints to the construction project and provide recommendations to mitigate potential delays.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel.
  • Strong communication skills in English both written and oral.
  • Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits).
