To learn more about Berry, visit Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining safety, cGMP, SQF and quality compliance while performing all daily tasks. Maintain and repair plant building and property. Maintain and repair all plant systems including but not limited to: Air Compressors & Dryer Systems, Chill Water Systems, Air Handlers, Dehumidifiers Responsible for repairing maintaining and performing PM's on the Material handling systems. Responsible for repairs and PM's on the material grinders and associated equipment. Responsible for logging completed PMs in PEM Must Communicate & Work with all systems/facility contract services to ensure proper level of workmanship is provided per our service contracts. Must be able to prioritize assignments & complete with little or no supervision Must be able to read mechanical and electrical drawings. Must be able to work at heights such as material silos Experience with communication wiring Will ensure that all repairs are completed in compliance with regulatory codes. Must be able to operate a fork truck, scissor lift, and man lift Responsible for maintaining the shop equipment. Will be assigned to complete specific preventative maintenance. Will be assigned special projects. Will assist with proper environmental labeling. Will be called upon, on off-hours, to assist in major downtime, quality or food safety events. Will ensure plant systems rooms cleaning checklist is followed. Will ensure that all food safety policies are followed while performing duties. Will assist in any cleaning duties assigned. Perform other duties as assigned Authorities: (Included but are not limited to) Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any nonconformity's of product or quality systems. Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality systems Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels Verify the implementation of solutions. Qualifications Education: ( High School, Some College, Degree/ Major ) Must have completed High School or GED Certification in a mechanical curriculum is desired Must pass Mechanical Comprehension Test Experience: 3 to 5 years of Fabrication/Welding experience 3 to 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience Min. 3 years of hydraulic experience Industrial Electrical experience preferred Must be able to read mechanical and electrical drawings. Must be able to work at heights such as material silos Experience with communication wiring Computer Software Knowledge/Skills: Must have knowledge of desktop computers and various software. Knowledge of the Downtime Database, JDE maintence work order system (Extra Training will be provided for these) Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate exceptionally well, verbally and written .
