The The Virginian is recruiting for an Assistant Director of Nursing for our Health Care Center (HCC) Department. This role functions as the Assistant Director of Nursing, Clinical Educator, and Infection Preventionist for all nursing units within the Health Care Center (HCC) Department. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and developing all nursing service operations with the goal of delivering the highest degree of quality care and hospitality services for the community's residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Seniors, have a strong leadership skills, and have strong clinical knowledge that can be applied to a Skilled Nursing environment. Our goal is to build a strong and dynamic clinical leadership team to enhance the operations, clinical knowledge of staff, and care services provided at the Virginian provide. Here are a few of the daily responsibilities: Supervise all healthcare personnel to include hiring, training, evaluating and counseling within established policies and procedures. Supervise the Nurse Manager, LPN-LVN-Care Partner, Quality of Life Specialist, Medication Assistant/CMA, and Health Services Associate. Supervise, as needed, the schedule of nursing services/personnel. Nurse Educator - coordinate training, implementation and maintenance of Heartfelt Connections Memory Care program as well as overseeing the ongoing education of nursing staff. Must maintain a strong foundation of this program. Implement the latest Infection Prevention strategies and processes to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and LCS/The Virginian policies. Maintain medical charting and required documentation under scope state regulatory guidelines for appropriate licensing and corporate policies. Serve as the department representative and coordinator of the Quality Assurance program for nursing services. Assess residents for change in level of care and coordinate billing for that level of care. Work closely with residents and families to develop & implement appropriate Plan of Care. Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: Minimum two (2) years experience in Nursing. Experience in assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing preferred Licensed as a Registered or Licensed Nurse in state of employment. Prior experience as a Manager/Director of Nursing preferred Hospital or Admission experience at plus Hospitality Focus: The Virginian fully embraces a culture of hospitality.
