Responsibilities

Whitney, Bailey, Cox & Magnani, LLC, now a division of TranSystems, is excited to announce we are seeking a Project Manager specializing in Environmental and/or Asset Management Program Support. This position is located in Baltimore or can be Remote.

What you'll be challenged to do:

* Support client NPDES MS4 and/or transportation asset management programs.

* Understand program reporting requirements and develop/advise on strategies to facilitate compliance.

* Plan, implement, and document strategies for program development/compliance.

* Prepare written documentation including meeting minutes, standard operating procedures, white papers, memos, technical reports, and program plans.

* Prepare presentation materials for presentations given by clients.

* Prepare presentation materials and present on program/project related topics.

* Where appropriate, provide subject matter expertise to guide and inform client programs.

* Support efforts to streamline client processes while aligning to program goals.

* Monitor and manage assigned task/project schedules and budgets.

* Prepare and track project scopes; identify work that is beyond the required scope of services and prepare change order requests before expending person-hours.

* Assist with preparation of Technical and Price Proposals.

* Provide project planning services including project initiation, communication management and risk management.

* Develop Progress Reports and review invoices for completeness and accuracy.

* Direct client, sub-consultant, and in-house staff coordination utilizing professional communication skills, both verbally and written.

* Lead and mentor staff. Continuously monitor staff's work to insure timeliness and quality.

* Plan, organize and effectively utilize people, resources, and materials.

* Make confident and timely decisions.

* Anticipate and mitigate conflicts/issues and complete projects within the budget, while satisfying the client's expectations.

* Monitor work of Sub-Consultants to ensure completion of work on time and within budget, including technical review of their work.

* Provide Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) reviews of technical reports, documents, or proposals prepared by others.

* Enhance expertise through continued learning.

* Actively participate in professional and/or technical organizations.

* This is a primarily remote position with potential on-site requirements based on company or client expectations.

Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:

* 7+ years of experience in environmental/NPDES MS4 and/or asset management program support.

* PE license and/or PMP certification is preferred.

* B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Transportation Planning, or Environmental Science is preferred.

* Professional written & oral communication skills.

* Highly effective organization, coordination, and file management skills.

* Process and detail-oriented work style.

* Excellent client management skills.

* MS4 and/or asset management experience with Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and/or other Mid-Atlantic/East Coast state and local agencies.

* Ability to understand and interpret client and regulatory requirements to ensure successful project completion.

* Focused and efficient time management with the ability to work independently and deliver projects and products of high quality on schedule and on budget.

* Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver multiple projects efficiently.

* Willingness to work with and learn from teammates of all levels.

* Ability to grow to the next level of leadership and success.

* Proficient in ArcGIS and Microsoft Office.

* Team oriented, self-motivated, and proactive.

* Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

* Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or NY City, TranSystems is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; internal peer equity; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TranSystems, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $90,000-$115,000 annually.
