Job Description

LAMBs Mission: Creating a self-directed learning environment in which children build a foundation of knowledge essential for a lifetime of learning while developing bi-literacy in English and Spanish.

Under the direction of the Director of Family Engagement, the registrar works to maintain up-to-date

student records, process enrollment and withdrawals, and implement LAMBs attendance processes, among others. In addition, as part of the Family Services team, the Registrar works to build a bridge between LAMB and families to help all our students succeed.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and field inquiries in English and Spanish via in-person contact, telephone, and email regarding admissions, re-enrollment, attendance, student data, and school information in general.
  • Coordinate student enrollment and re-enrollment process, including distribution and collection of required documents, verification of eligibility, FARM status, health records, etc., and entering enrollment data into appropriate databases.
  • In partnership with the Academic Team, create class lists for all levels.
  • Maintaining up-to-date student data and the master list, including enrollments, withdrawals, student/teacher/room, immunizations, demographics, etc.
  • Manage the admissions email for inquiries from current and prospective parents.
  • Manage the PowerSchool enrollment data system.
  • Act as point of contact for enrollment audit, attendance, and school/LEA enrollment audit for OSSE.
  • Manage and process all transcript requests from parents and schools.
  • Conduct the annual enrollment audit and ensure compliance with data submissions and data validation with OSSE and PCSB.
  • In partnership with the Director of Family Engagement, manage the lottery process (parent inquiries, new parent notifications of acceptance, etc.).
  • Assist families with understanding and completing the enrollment process.
  • Participate in student recruitment and retention efforts, including but not limited to marketing, and community outreach.
  • Attend OSSE training to ensure compliance with data reporting requirements and best practices.
  • Track daily attendance submission, follow up where/when needed, and maintain files and data related to student attendance.
  • Coordinate LAMBs Attendance Committee meetings and follow-up work, including creating and distributing meeting agendas and attendance reports, scheduling calls with families, and coordinating the implementation of attendance plans.
  • Monitor attendance data and inform key staff of student attendance concerns.
  • Complete and submit all OSSE-required reports.
  • Participate in activities shared among administrative staff, including arrival and dismissal duty, evacuation/fire drills, etc as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Compensation
