PAYROLL CLERK

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

  • CFS has partnered with a client who is considered to be a Pittsburgh staple.
  • Our client is in need of a Payroll Clerk to handle garnishments & provide support for the payroll department.
  • They foster a family culture in a relaxed atmosphere. Most of their employees have been there 10+ years!
  • Not a fan of dressing up? Not a problem! They have a casual dress code.

OVERVIEW OF THE PAYROLL CLERK ROLE:

  • Manage all aspects of payroll garnishments, including processing and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
  • Payroll Clerk assists in processing the overall payroll, contributing to the efficient and accurate disbursement of employee salaries.
  • Handle government surveys received by the payroll department, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Collaborate with team members to address any payroll-related inquiries or issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Payroll Clerk utilizes UKG software to streamline and enhance payroll processes (experience with UKG is a significant advantage).
  • Maintain accurate and organized payroll records for auditing purposes.
  • Provide support for additional tasks within the payroll department, as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR PAYROLL CLERK ROLE:

  • Payroll Clerk must have previous experience in payroll processing and garnishment handling.
  • Minimum experience with Excel; ability to perform basic spreadsheet functions.
  • Familiarity with UKG software is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
