Job Summary

We are seeking an Operating Room Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will travel to various locations that are experiencing nursing shortages and fill in the gaps. You will administer medications, provide healthcare advice, monitor patients' recovery, and accurately complete patient records. The ideal candidate is an experienced nurse who can provide their patients with care, compassion, and healthcare excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with patients to understand their healthcare concerns
  • Provide health care and nutritional advice when appropriate
  • Monitor patient recovery
  • Write reports and provide them to the appropriate healthcare professionals
  • Maintain equipment and medical supplies in a well-organized and sterile fashion
  • Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Preps operating room for patient/procedure
  • Services as the communication liaison to family and members of the operating team
  • Ensures that operating on correct patient and the correct procedure is being performed
  • Provides basic and bedside care
  • Prepares , administers, and records medications
  • Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol
  • Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
  • Initiates corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomology
  • Monitors patients physical and emotional well-being throughout the care continuum
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Travel Nurse or in a similar position is preferred
  • Orthopedic Experience a Plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Compassionate and empathetic


Compensation: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
