FAHRNEY KEEDY HOUSEKEEPERDAY SHIFT with alternating weekends$15.00-$18.50 plus applicable shift differentialJob Title: Environmental Services Aide/ HousekeeperDay Shift /Alternating Weekends $15.00 - $18.50 /weekend premium $1.50SUMMARYClean rooms, halls and all other areas in the facility by performing the following duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, attractive and operative state at all times.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.ROOMS1. Dust, clean and polish all furniture as needed.2. Empty trash cans daily, change liners and clean as needed. Transport all trash to disposal area.3. Spot clean walls.4. Dry mop and wet mop floors on a daily basis as needed.RESTROOMS1. Clean and sanitize all sinks, including pipes under sink, commodes and urinals in restrooms.2. Clean all fixtures and mirrors to avoid water marks.3. Replenish all suppliestowels, soap and tissue, including feminine hygiene machines.4. Dry mop and wet mop floor on a daily basis and as needed.MISCELLANEOUS AREAS1. Clean lobbies, lounges, public rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways.2. Dust furniture, pictures, etc.3. Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperiesMISCELLANEOUS DUTIES1. Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Wash windows, blinds, door panels, and sills.2. Replace light bulbs as needed.3. Clean Administrative Offices as scheduled.4. Report any unsafe areas or equipment to your Supervisor or Maintenance Department.5. Check vacant rooms to see that they are fresh and that furniture is in order.6. Follow cleaning schedules for area assigned.7. Keep cleaning cart neat, clean and supplied on a daily basis.8. Keep cleaning closets and equipment clean and in order.9. Assist in cleaning cottages and apartments as required.10. Follow all procedures to properly set up and clean Isolation units.11. Assist in stripping and waxing floors as needed.12. Report any accidents or injuries to your supervisor immediately.SUMMARY LaundryWashing, sorting, drying, ironing, folding, stacking and distributing of laundry and linen. May operate washers, dryers, etc., as required or necessary. Assist in maintaining the Laundry Department in a clean, safe and sanitary condition.1. Follow the instructions of the Laundry supervisor.2. Assist in folding, stacking, hanging and delivery of laundry and linen.3. Uses supplies and equipment under the direction of the supervisor.4. Maintains the Laundry Department in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.5. Follows duty and work assignments.6. Assist in washing, soaking and drying clothes as necessary.7. Follows safety rules and regulations of the nursing home.8. Attends in-service education classes.9. Reports any unmarked clothes to supervisor.10. Reports losses and damages to the supervisor.11. Cooperates with fellow workers in the job needs as they are assigned, and maintains the quality of laundry service established by the Home.12. Others as may be required or as directed by the supervisor or Administrator.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, the laundry aide must be at least 18 years of age and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
