Transportation Asset Management Consultant

Tracking Code 15805 Job Description JMT Technology Group is looking to add an Asset Management Consultant to our Transportation team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience leading and implementing asset management solutions for transportation government customers, and experience identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**

* Lead transportation asset management consulting opportunities

* Meet with clients and prospective clients to understand business challenges and requirements

* Lead and/or support the development of transportation asset management plans and programs

* Lead and/or support the selection and deployment of transportation asset management technologies and solutions, including but not limited to Enterprise Asset Management and/or Work Order Management systems

* Lead and/or support asset management data analysis, interpretation, and visualization

* Lead and/or support data governance efforts for transportation assets

* Lead and/or support business development and marketing opportunities

* Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team

* Effectively present, communicate and articulate technical information to all levels of the organization, including customers, colleagues, and senior leadership.

Required Skills

* Demonstrated experience implementing transportation asset management systems and/or work order management systems such as Maximo, VueWorks, Cartegraph, AgileAssets, Cityworks, Lucity, Infor Hansen, Infor EAM, etc.

* Demonstrated business process analytics, business process review and business process re-engineering experience

* Demonstrated knowledge of business and models and processes of government transportation organizations

* Familiarity with asset lifecycles, including but not limited to bridge and pavement

* Familiarity with national transportation asset management requirements (MAP-21), practices and standards

* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and quickly develop trust in all levels of an organization

* Ability to communicate and work collaboratively and effectively with project team members and customers

* Must be able to travel to client sites as well as to other JMT office locations and domestic travel for industry events as needed

**Preferred Skills**

* Experience with linear referencing systems including Esris Roads and Highways

* Experience with transportation asset lifecycle costing, modeling and risk analysis

* A breadth of knowledge in scheduling, software requirements, and understanding of public sector infrastructure environments

Required Experience

* Bachelors degree in geography, GIS, computer science, information technology, engineering, planning, economics, or related field

* 7+ years providing consulting services for the government transportation clients

* 5+ years of experience leading projects related to the delivery and execution of transportation asset management solutions

* 5+ years of experience implementing GIS and related technology to support transportation or planning initiatives.

* 3+ years of experience implementing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions

* 3+ years of project management experience

* Experience writing technical documentation and preparing and providing presentations in public and project settings

**Preferred Experience/Certifications/Education**

* Masters degree in geography, GIS, computer science, information technology, engineering, planning, economics, or related field

* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

* Transportation information technology and/or geospatial business development experience

**Working Conditions**

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Travel to customer sites may be required.
