Position Purpose:We are seeking a recovery specialist to work with our collaborative healthcare team to provide mental health treatment services. This position is located at our Mulberry location working with adults in our crisis residential program. The ideal candidate has a passion for this population and ability to thrive in a fast pace environment. The Recovery Specialist assists adult clients in gaining skills and to manage their mental health through facilitating scheduled groups, providing education, and offering supportive interactions.
Schedule: 8 hour shifts- Shift: Sunday - Thursday
- Hours: 4pm-12am
Job Requirements/Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in a related field or HS diploma with 5 years of behavioral health experience
- Must qualify as MHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132.
- Skilled in behavioral management techniques
- CPR training or complete within three months
- Valid Illinois driver's license
Essential Responsibilities:- Maintain a home-like atmosphere and environment that is safe, clean, healthy, orderly and conducive to recovery and symptom stabilization.
- Encourage and assist with training and educating residents to perform household and personal duties to promote self-sufficiency.
- Encourage, train, model and educate residents to improve or maintain their ability to live independently.
- Provide medication monitoring and training.
- Coordinate, support and advocate for residents to gain access to needed resources.
- Consult and cooperate with provider staff, staff of other agencies, or with others who are involved with providing services to the residents.
- Identify risk factors involving potential crisis situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Based on education, experience, and credentials
Shift differentials: Additional pay based on regularly scheduled shift hours
- Second shift (majority of hours between 3pm and 11pm): $.25/hr
- Third shift (majority of hours between 11pm and 7am): $.50/hr
