Business Operations Manager

The Thuma team is looking to hire a Manager of Business Operations. Reporting to the SVP of Finance & Bus Ops, this role will be responsible for developing and the execution of Thuma's overall strategy and goals.

Thuma's Headquarters is based in the historic Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco. This is a hybrid role, and while we don't mandate any in-office time, candidates should be available to come into our SF office.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Work directly with the SVP of Finance & Bus Ops to define and drive outcomes on Thuma's main priorities
    • Focus on continuing Thuma's strategy of being a global design company who creates value for our customers through craftsmanship, attention to detail and modern convenience
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company on critical initiatives related to product growth modeling, strategic scenario planning, and internal efficiency optimization
    • Develop and execute frequent tests to drive higher average order value, customer retention, and profitability
    • Support KPI definition across teams to drive outcomes
    • Create business cases for investment and M&A opportunities for Thuma
    • Standardize and distribute the key operating metrics for the business
    • Understand the competitive landscape that Thuma operates within and what relevant dynamics are shaping the market
    • Support long term planning and goal setting
    • Be a cross-functional partner to the exec team on priorities, goal-setting and strategy
    • Partner with Thuma's finance team to understand areas for operational and strategic improvement
    • Support execution of quarterly board meetings, internal/external communications and QBRs


This Might Describe You:
    • Analytically-driven and detail oriented
    • Comfortable working with minimal amounts of structure
    • Ability to take a broad problem and figure out the steps to solve it
    • Excellent communication skills and a history of working cross functionally with leadership teams
    • A desire to support a rapidly growing company scale into its next chapter


What You'll Need:
    • 5+ years of experience in fast-growing companies, preferably in a DTC/brand-oriented environment
    • A undergraduate degree in business, finance or similar field
    • MBA preferred but not required


$145,000 - $180,000 a year

Thuma provides an estimate of the compensation for roles that may be hired as required by state regulations. Compensation may vary based on (a) location, as Thuma factors in specific location when benchmarking compensation for most roles; (b) individual candidate skills and qualifications; and (c) individual candidate experience.
