This role includes:
Supporting local families by providing a safe, caring and fun atmosphere for children within an established in-home daycare setting. When on the job, you'll organize outdoor adventures, sing songs, read books, find opportunities for imaginative play, teach lesson plans, or just be a buddy! Each day you will make a difference in a child's (and a parent's) life! Put your childcare experience and love for children to work within our dynamic Substitute Daycare Assistant program.
- Oversee and actively participate in children's activities during playtime, mealtime, and rest periods
- Introduce and implement activities and educational initiatives suitable for the age group
- Aid in diaper changes, toilet training, and maintaining personal hygiene routines
- Observe children's conduct and manage any behavioral challenges with positive reinforcement techniques
We hope you have:- Prior background in childcare within babysitting, daycare, or nanny roles.
- Familiarity with childhood development and activities suitable for various age groups.
- Proficiency in caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
- The ability to effectively communicate with Management
- Demonstrated strengths in organization and multitasking within group childcare environments.
- Keep the house and all other areas clean by following important procedures and guidelines.
- Current State Licensure to work within a daycare or the willingness to obtain
Your day will look like:- 8 hours a day on a part-time or full-time schedule
- Flexibility on days between Monday-Friday
- 8-40 hours a week available
- $14.00-17.00/hr depending on experience
- In-person childcare in Steele County
