We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our warehouse team to handle, moves and store various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse. Their main duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses, and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.
**Job Responsibilities:**
* Maintain safety awareness related to the position including any safety precautions necessary when involved in activities in all areas
* Accident prevention, material handlers handle heavy, often hazardous loads, must be aware of and determine inherent dangers involved with all materials handled.
* Adhere to all operating instructions, safety regulations, PPE requirements and proper environmental procedures to assure personal safety and the safety of fellow operators, coworkers, customers and the environment.
* Nothing is left to chance, PPE, procedures prevent and protect from accidents and incidents.
* Ensure all shipments, incoming and outgoing, have credible and reliable documentation.
* Necessary to assure customer satisfaction on time and in full delivery and to assure received material is handled, located, and delivered properly and safely.
* Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of material.
* Internal and external customers require prompt delivery of a correct amount of goods and services, multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks is necessary.
* Must have or attain a working knowledge of SAP
* SAP used to process received materials and process outgoing shipments
**Job Requirments:**
* Warehouse experience desirable
* Basic computer skills, required to learn and use various transactions in SAP.
* Demonstrate safe use and handling of sit down and stand up fork trucks/lifts.
