** Warehouse Specialist**
Job Title Warehouse Specialist Position ID 27629458 Location Monterey, CA Other Location Description Clason Point Partners Inc. (CPP) is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for a government contract in Monterey, CA providing Warehouse work. More specifically, the work performed by the Warehouse Specialist shall include, but is not limited to, the following:
* Catalog and maintain re-useable property for pickup from each receiving point.
* Maintain a disposition log and a re-use log.
* Facilitate the first and secondary delivery lines of the receiving and delivery functions for incoming government items as the first point of contact for various commercial shipping companies.
* Facilitate the distribution/delivery to Government acceptors and document formal Government acceptance of the items from each of the receiving points.
* Scan and upload packing slips with acceptance information into a data share site.
* Upload proof of Government acceptor receipt into database.
* Conduct on-going log/record of Government acceptor notifications. ??????
* Coordinate log/record of Government pick-up and delivery schedule.
* Log/record items that need more information and resolution taken.
* Serve as first point of contact and facilitate the receiving procedures for formal Government acceptance and processing of the items. The delivery point locations will be the first line to receiving small package shipments (less than 50lbs) from various commercial shipping companies.
* Move various items (e.g., safes, refrigerators, personal effects, boxes, tables, chairs, desks, file cabinets, and other office furniture) and for any other labor support necessary. Items will be moved using hand trucks, dollies, flat beds or rollers.
* Compile reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
* Verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
* Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties that include staging incoming property, organizing property ready to be delivered, and storing property for reuse or pick up.
* Record and log the provided warehouse items and paperwork per the receiving point SOP and meet the auditing standards for procurement officials within the Government provided methodology and data logging/processing requirements.
* Teardown/demolish existing furniture, install new/used/reconfigured components, and repair and clean existing components.
**Required Qualifications and Skills**
* Must have a high school diploma, vocational school diploma, or GED certificate and minimum computer skills.
* One (1) year of Government logistics experience
* One (1) year of disposition experience within the Department of Defense
* Two (2) years of Microsoft Office experience
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds
* Individuals shall be literate and have the ability to communicate in English.
* The Warehouse Specialist must provide friendly customer service at all times.
