The PULSE Lab is looking for a responsible PULSE Lab Coordinator to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide support to the lab director and membersAssist in daily office needsManage general administrative activitiesMake travel and meeting arrangementsPrepare reportsMaintain appropriate filing systemsSchedulingCalendar schedulingInvited talk schedulingEvent schedulingVisitor meeting schedulingKeeping track of hours committed to various activitiesSend remindersDocument PreparationPrepare administrative documents for grant submission (budget justification, animal welfare, IRB protocols)Grant report preparationPrint course examsCreate and update lab manualTravel AssistanceConference registrationReimbursementsProofreadingGrantsPapersPublicityWebsite and social media posts/updatesNews reportsWebsite updatesFinancial AssistanceKeep track of charges to lab director's accountsPurchasing assistanceQuote requestsBudget projectionsAssistance with completing progress reportsMid-level management interfacing with lab director and students/external stakeholdersAnimal Protocol management and responding to inquiriesIRB Protocol management (continuing reviews, study reports)Manage director s to-do listsManage Bibtex file of PULSE Lab publicationsKeep running list of PULSE Lab projects and collaborationsLab safety sheetsLab inspections (be present)Maintain list of awards cited in each publication (helpful for progress reports)On board new students and postdocsManage computersRegularly update laboratory accessRecruiting & Admissions AssistanceRespond to grad student inquiries about joining the PULSE LabCompile and respond to undergrad student inquiriesScreening admissions applicationsGrant Preparation AssistanceFind NH POs and potential study sectionsEmail POs about appropriateness of ideasSpecial Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesProficiency in MS Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or graduation equivalent and some college course working the Biological Sciences, with Bachelor's degree preferred.One year of related laboratory experience.Additional education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.
