DescriptionLeidos is looking for an Algorithm Developer/Scientific Programmer to join our Electronic Warfare (EW) division. The candidate will research, develop, and implement new machine learning algorithms to support the division's Cognitive EW business area, which leverages state of the art ML concepts for implementation across the RF domain (e.g., cognitive communications, radar, electronic warfare (EW), spectrum sensing, SIGINT).The Leidos EW Division performs on programs that include advanced signal processing, machine learning, optimization, detection & estimation, deep learning, and adaptive decision and control.Key Responsibilities:* Develop, model, and test algorithms in MATLAB, Simulink, or C++* Analyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trends.* Develop novel and advanced signal processing/machine learning algorithms, performance simulation, and analysis - using simulated and real data in both time series and spectral domains.* Leverage state-of-the-art AI/ML tools and methodologies to improve algorithms performance.* Participate in lab-based testing of MATLAB generated models.* Documenting the developed algorithms into design documentation.Qualifications:* Must be U.S. Citizen* Active Secret clearance* BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field and 2+ years of experience* 1+ year of experience in radar signal processing* Fluent with tools such as MATLAB, Linux, Mathematica, Python, Simulink - and languages such as C/C++, Java etc.* Working knowledge areas such as digital filtering, spectral estimation, detection and estimation theory, linear algebra, and stochastic processes* Experience with Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence algorithms and libraries, such as ANACONDA* Demonstrated strong oral and written communication.* Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.* Adaptability to new challenges with a strong motivation to grow and learn in new areas.Preferred Qualifications:* 3+ years' experience in radar signal processing* Active or ability to obtain TS clearance preferred.* Master's degree in electrical engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field* Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks, RF front end design, and signal processing algorithm development* Experience as CAM or JIRA Scrum leaderLInCElectronic WarfarePay Range:Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
