**SUMMARY:** Responsible for providing logistics and asset management warehouse operations support.

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.Work involves most of the following: general inventory, verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. Assembles and repairs wood shipping crates, using a variety of electric and pneumatic-powered hand tools, such as saws, drills, nail guns, staplers, etc. Wraps and packs crates to prepare for shipping/storage. Operates a variety of material handling equipment to include forklifts and mechanized warehouse equipment that involves managing high pile storage. Employees handling lithium battery shipments will need to maintain the IATA Non-Radioactive Dangerous Goods Certification

**Qualifications**

**EDUCATION:** Bachelors degree in business, operations, supply chain or related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

**EXPERIENCE:** 0-3 years experience in global logistics, logistics operations, assisting in the supply chain process. Active DoD Secret clearance

**TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:** Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word. Proficient in fleet management software and various computer programs that manage and match shipment movements.

**COMPETENCIES:** Ability to communicate effective verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to gather, interpret, report, and use data and other information concerning assigned activities. Ability to function effectively with or as part of a team. Skill in preparing clear and concise documents, including, but not limited to reports, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials. Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of import forwarding and customs brokerage in a domestic and/or international capacity. Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.

**OTHER:** Ability to travel as needed. Clearance Background investigation

**JOB SCOPE:** Position impacts multiple business units/segments.

**WORKING CONDITIONS:** Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.

**FLSA STATUS:** The position is Exempt. May require the ability to work overtime to meet required deadlines. All work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health are expected to be respected and complied with.
