**Job Description**

**Procurement Buyer** *Hybrid work model between on-site and remote* *The last few months have been a real series of acrobatics and contortions for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group. But we are ambitious and passionate about our work, and we always know how to get back on our feet, even after superhuman somersaults.* The Buyer will be a part of the corporate department support supply team and will be assigned to a series of commodities and/or services for which they are responsible to procure. The role of the Buyer is to plan, organize and schedule the Procurement of goods and services to meet Cirques requirements in such manner that the inventory levels are optimized and or ensuring that the best value is obtained. The Buyer will, quote source, select new suppliers and negotiate T&C, price and delivery. The Buyer will manage purchase orders and invoicing for all vendors. **The Procurement Buyer will:** - Carry out market research, research and select new suppliers for several commodities of goods and services for corporate departments; - Request and analyze quotes from suppliers to obtain best value and delivery conditions; - Place purchase orders for goods and services from suppliers; - Establish recommendations for internal customers while supporting their initial request, inform them of possible issues and propose optimal solutions (costs, deadlines, terms of payment, etc.); - Be the key contact for suppliers (from request for quotation to the receipt of the order); - Be the ambassador and enforce the procurement policy and procedures; - Ensure requisitions are adequately approved and that variance between approved amounts and actual cost is communicated to the respective parties prior to incurring the expense; - Propose/participate / manage continuous improvement projects; - Perform other duties as assigned. **The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:** - Bachelors degree in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain or Finance with three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience to ensure your success in such a role; - The ability to negotiate autonomously with suppliers; - Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers and if you are comfortable in solving problems and issues. - Working knowledge of management software necessary for Procurement work; SAP Ariba experience is an asset; - Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in regular contact with our suppliers, internal customers and quality control. - Ability to navigate in a changing, agile, evolving environment with a strong tendency to improve processes; - A real passion for collaborative work, the real one! - Verification of the right to work in the United States for VStar Entertainment Group, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying ones identity and work authorization; - Although not a pre-employment condition, this position requires you to be fully vaccinated, including the booster (if eligible).
