CFC has a need for a Senior Infrastructure Manager - VMware Horizon to join our Business Technology Services team. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work at our headquarters office in Sterling, VA, as well as optional remote workdays. The Senior Infrastructure Manager - VMware Horizon will lead CFC's enterprise systems environments and projects and oversee all implementation and maintenance of enterprise-wide system tools. The Senior Infrastructure Manager - VMware Horizon will be the subject matter expert who will manage the VMWare Horizon VDI, including the Master Image, AppVolumes, User Environment Manager, Desktop Pools, and Security/Connection servers.

As a Senior Infrastructure Manager - VMware Horizon, you will:
Orchestrate the provisioning, dynamic configuration and monitoring of servers and services in the CFC private cloud.
Administrate and architect secure and scalable infrastructure platforms.
Seek continuous improvement in process automation.
Provide leadership and expertise to a cross-functional team, managing team resource assignments, projected task completion dates, prioritizing activities based on business requirements and SLAs.
Work cooperatively with project managers and engineering leads to plan and direct all ongoing projects based on priority and resource availability.
Oversee individual enterprise systems projects from identification of requirements, analysis and design, development, end-user testing, deployment and production support.
Recruit, build, and lead a team of diverse system administrators.
Be responsible for the daily performance and availability of the organization's IT infrastructure which may include servers, SaaS, workstations, mobile, telecom, network, database, storage, monitoring, security, and enterprise tools to ensure internal customer organization's needs are being met.
Define, acquire, and allocate budget, staff, and other resources necessary to deliver on goals and objectives.
Manage policies and guidelines for infrastructure systems and workstations.
Support internal and external audits to comply with SOX and other regulations.
Cultivate and manage strategic vendor relationships.

To be successful, you will need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management or the equivalent in experience.
12 years of experience in information technology, with at least 4 years of management experience leading and managing an infrastructure or engineering team.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft servers and workstations, Active Directory, Office 365, Azure, VMWare virtualization and Horizon VDI infrastructure.
Experience with complex contract negotiations, vendor management, and capacity planning.
Datacenter management and disaster recovery planning and execution experience.
Experience with ITIL, COBIT, and SOX is desired.
Infrastructure engineering and operations experienced is desired.
Experience architecting virtualized environments.
Knowledge of networking, both LAN and WAN, fundamental networking and distributed computing environments, security practices.
Experience with mobile device management.
The ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
