Job Summary:
Synergy Enterprises, Inc., a woman-owned small business, is seeking a Graphic Designer. The qualified candidate will be responsible for assisting on a variety of creative projects. Such projects include but are not limited to preproduction tasks, original graphic design, layout corrections, and preparation of files for print and digital/web production.
Job Description
- Integrate approved copy into approved design using media and production methods for production of deliverables such as: reports, conference books, posters, specialty items, PDF print and interactive forms, and email announcements.
- Develop original designs and/or integrate revisions to approved design concepts for projects that can include slide presentations, Websites, brochures, advertisements, exhibits, catalogs, direct mail, corporate identity, publications, and packaging.
- Prepare digital files in appropriate formats and dimensions in addition, make electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities (508 compliant).
- Follow federal and corporate branding guides and guidelines.
Qualifications- Must possess minimum of 5 years of graphic design experience.
- Degree or formal training in graphic design (print and digital media), web design, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate proficiency and knowledge in the use of following applications:
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe apps a plus)
- Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other MS apps a plus)
- Canva
- Professional graphic design portfolio
- Exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work from design briefs to determine a creative direction suitable to government client and project.
- Skillful and strong design and desktop publication layout skills
- Strong digital design and animation knowledge for social media platforms and Web design processes a plus
- Capability to create interactive Portable Document Format (PDF) and PowerPoint presentation that incorporates interaction-encouraging elements such as clickable links, embedded videos, and animated GIFs to name a few.
- Ability to function effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
