Neurology (EEG) Technician I

Position Summary:
This is a clinical position where the incumbent performs neuro-diagnostic testing including EEG studies in both the outpatient ambulatory and inpatient settings. Incumbent must be technically adept, have excellent patient care and customer service skill sets, and be able to work with severely ill pediatric patient populations.

Position Requirements:
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent; graduate from an accredited training program in Neurodiagnostics is preferred, however, a combination of education and on-the-job training may be accepted in lieu of an accredited training program.

Experience: Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary health provider team. 1 year of experience as a EEG Technologist preferred.

Certification Required: Current American Heart BLS Certification Required. Must complete National Certification testing (R. EEG T.) within 2 years of hire and receive registration from the American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET) as a Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEG T.)

Physical Requirements:
Sit: Up to 6 hours/day
Stand/Walk: 4-6 hours
Bend/Stoop: Up to 6 hours
Reach: Up to 6 hours
Rep Use of UE: Up to 6 hours
Lift/Push/Pull: 50 pounds, over 50 pounds with assistance or equipment
