Job Description |
The Contractor must provide personnel to perform Temporary General Clerk Services. 5.2. Duties: Assists with the receipt, distribution, and logging of incoming mail, including incoming certified return receipts. Prepares outgoing mail for the Office of the Clerk of the Board following routine office procedures. This includes: printing out documents (e.g., envelopes, orders, final decisions, certificates of service) for mailing; completing all required US Government Client forms for certified mail, return receipt requested; photocopying/scanning and uploading certified mail receipts; filing paper documents in paper case files, if one exists; and independently depositing mail (e.g., by walking) at the U.S. Post Office that is approximately 0.3 miles from the office on a daily basis. Performs routine data-entry tasks using a personal computer and the MSPB's eAppeal case-adjudication system. Uploads scanned documents (e.g., certified mail receipts). Makes appropriate data entries to carry out recurring tasks related to issuing decisions and closing case files by following routine office procedures. Uses a variety of office equipment in conducting the work of the office, including, but not limited to, personal computers, copy machines, scanners, etc. Communicates with Office of the Clerk of the Board and mailroom staff orally or by email, as needed, to accomplish assigned tasks. |

Must be able to lift moderate weights (up to 30 pounds) to move and manipulate individual paper case files or boxes of paper case files. Must be able to independently deposit mail (e.g., by walking) at the U.S. Post Office that is approximately 0.3 miles from the office on a daily basis. |

Education |
Requires a high school diploma and 2 years of experience in the administrative field or in a related non-legal or legal clerical assistant area. Has very basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the legal/adjudicatory field. |
