Security Officer

Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years old.

• Valid Florida Security D License, willing to assist.

• Valid Driver's License for more than 3 years' & clean record.

• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Must be fluent in English.

• Understand Spanish.

• Prior Military or Law Enforcement experience is a plus.

• Have a High School Diploma or GED

• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; Display exceptional customer service and communication skills, must be able to communicate effectively in person and by radio.

• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.

• Remain flexible to ever changing environments; adapt well to different situations.

• Able to: Work in various environments such as, rain or heat; Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds; Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.

Duties and Responsibilities.

A Security Officer will perform the following tasks:

• Patrolling and securing the area.

• Reporting safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing

• Monitoring and analyzing CCTV camera footage.

• Responding to alarms and emergencies.

• Keeping an incident report record.

• Communicating any irregularities with management.

• Checking visitors in and out of the area.

• If applicable to the location you are applying for, must be able to meet and continue to meet all applicable licensing requirements for Security Officers based on state, county and/or municipal regulations.
