Mosher Engineering, a Stevenson Consulting affiliate, is a well-established engineering firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspections. We are looking for a full-time CONSTRUCTION FIELD TECHNICIAN to join our team. This position will require day and overnight travel.
Responsibilities:
- Observing and testing samples of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt on clients job sites
- Preparing daily field reports for management review
- Assisting with laboratory testing and other assigned tasks as needed
- Daily interaction with clients and team members
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in construction industry
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and team lift 70 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders
- Willingness to work off-shift hours, including some weekends
- Willingness to work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
- Ability to use electronic devices
- Valid drivers license with satisfactory driving history
- Must pass background screen and drug screening
Preferred:
- ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector or ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector
- ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
- ACI Concrete Field Grade I
- Nuclear Safety
- VDOT Soils and Aggregate
- VDOT Asphalt Level I & II
