**Inspector Packer Trainer**

**Location:** Federalsburg, MD, US Responsible for training Inspector Packers in the operation of equipment, quality inspection processes, and finished product staging in accordance with company standards and operating procedures. Will perform Inspector Packer duties when not training other employees.

**Day-to-Day Role:**

* Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements

* Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards

* Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

* Teach new Inspector Packers how to safely perform job duties while producing an acceptable quantity of top-quality products based on laws, regulations, and company standards

* Manage employee situations to ensure employee engagement and comprehension of information

* Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training

* Submit written reports to document training and the progress of new hires to supervisors

* Conduct annual re-training sessions with all Inspector Packers as necessary

* Perform the duties of regular Inspector Packers when not training

* Conduct frequent production line visual inspection of finished products, periodically verify package count, inspect sanitary conditions of product, and ensure the integrity of seal on film and notify proper personnel of any defective product or discrepancies

* Demonstrate a commitment to a process of continuous improvement

* Maintain accurate production reports and provide to management

* Tape, seal, code and palletize cases of finished product to be removed by material handler

* Other tasks within the employees training and skills as directed by the supervisor and/or department manager

**Core Skills and Qualifications:**

**The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:**

* Minimum one year of experience in manufacturing or packaging.

* Previous relevant training experience required.

* Demonstrated involvement in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment

* Ability to work overtime as needed

* Ability to work weekend as needed

* Ability to train on different shift as needed

* Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes

* Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create and edit basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS SharePoint

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy specifically related documenting detailed job tasks and instructions

* Ability to effectively present to an audience

* Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills
