**Warehouse - Warehouse Worker**

POSITION SUMMARY
The primary function of this position is to perform general shipping and receiving tasks, such as loading, unloading, checking and storing merchandise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* 100% compliant with safety rules and regulations
* Pre-pick sales orders
* Occasionally load truck shipments during business hours
* Unload incoming receiving and double check pre-receiving document against vendors manifest/packing slip and report discrepancies.
* Warehouse maintenance (house cleaning, snow removal and salt application- seasonal)
* Periodic spot-check inventory and assist with cycle counts
* Accurately put away merchandise into correct bin location and re-stock shelves
* Customer product returns are unloaded from the trailers, are processed and returned to the proper bin locations.
* Repair soft-side curtains on trailers with short straps
* Pre and post inspections on forklift
* Make sure forklift is fueled
* Lawn care (seasonal)
* Organize sample room (manufacturers sample boards, etc.)
* Replace shrink wrap in shrink wrap machine
* Recycle (cut) 8 Rollex protective corners into banding corners
* Replace plastic banding with metal banding on product shipped from the manufacturer
* Assist in fire extinguisher and exit/emergency sign monthly checks
* Material handling experience helpful, will load and unload inventory on a regular basis
* Punctual, and regular attendance according to the set work schedule is required
WILL ALSO INCLUDE
* Heavy lifting: exerting up to 50 lbs. of force regularly
* Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity
* Dusty environment
QUALIFICATIONS
* Previous Warehouse and/or Forklift experience
* Ability to lift 50lbs
* Computer and inventory control experience
* Basic math skills
* Building Materials and/or Distribution experience preferred
REQUIREMENTS
* Ability to pass drug test and background verifications
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must have a valid Drivers License and an acceptable driving record
