NMC is currently recruiting for a Care Companion.This position is a full-time (80 hours bi-weekly) position, hours are generally 11p-7:30a.

• JOB SUMMARY:
  • The Care Companion provides quality patient safety monitoring services under the direction of a licensed professional. The Care Companion proactively maintains a safe environment for the patient by providing continuous monitoring and reporting potential unsafe and harmful behaviors. The Care Companion is also responsible for other duties assigned by Supervisor.
• PREREQUISITES
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Hospital experience preferred.
  • Other: Must successfully complete training related to de-escalation of patients and dementia patients within 2 months of hire. Able to effectively communicate with employees, supervisors/managers and staff as well as patients and visitors as required. Keen vision acuity to maintain safe environment. Work set shift as assigned by Supervisor of Emergency Management & Safety.
  • Certifications: BLS required within 90 days of hire
