Paid training & CLEs 1 week paid Office Closure at Christmas Summer Fridays (Summer Fridays are a half-day schedule from June-August) Over 8 additional holiday office closures Paid time off Responsibilities: Position Summary The Attorney is responsible for the strategy, planning, preparation, and management of client employment and HR matters from inception to resolution. Such matters include responses to demand letters, labor board and EDD disputes, internal compliance audits, and other duties as assigned. This position directly executes these responsibilities and directs and oversees the work of other staff in order to meet deadlines. Please mention our very special client policy, when you interview! This person will: Be a licensed California Attorney in good standing Be a trusted advisor Be fully remote with occasional travel in and around California Focus on understanding current and upcoming laws Train and educate staff and clients Advise and counsel small business owners Create educational materials for small business owners to utilize Work and complete projects with strict deadlines Respond to Demand letters and negotiate settlements Respond to Government agency complaints and audits Qualifications: This person has: A minimum of 3 years of experience advising CA Employers A demonstrated connection to advocacy for small business A minimum of 5 years of customer service experience A minimum of 1 year working in a remote/virtual environment preferred A minimum of 1 year of supervising staff preferred Prior experience working in a business environment with a high reliance on technology This person loves: People Helping others Educating others Knowledge and learning The law Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Updates and responds to client matters within 24 hours Institutes and maintains a clear system of date and communication tracking Updates templates and educates staff and clients on new law information on a systematic and consistent basis Achieves weekly, monthly, and annual billable hours requirement Proactively communicates with clients at minimum, once per month Ensures client matters are up to date and progressing along proscribed legal strategy Compensation: $100,000 base salary or more depending on experience+ bonus eligibility
