Position Overview: As a Family Law Legal Assistant with Billing Experience at Miami Family Law Group, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our legal professionals and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our billing processes. Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date client billing records
Prepare and process invoices, ensuring compliance with billing guidelines and client requirements
Review and verify billable hours, expenses, and disbursements
Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and provide detailed explanations as needed
Assist with the collection of outstanding accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments
Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to gather information for billing purposes
Generate and analyze billing reports to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive client information
Perform general administrative tasks to support the legal team as required
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Billing Specialist
Proficiency in legal billing software and MS Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge of legal billing guidelines and procedures is a plus
Discretion and ability to handle confidential information
