Job DescriptionJob Description EXXCEL is growing and looking for Field Engineers to join our team! As part of the on-site team, our Field Engineers are flexible and work well in a fast-paced environment. He or she should be competent in handling simultaneously occurring tasks and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Essential Functiono The Field Engineer role may be consulted regarding site specific logistics plan or safety plano Engage in construction planning, scheduling, material procurement, quality control, and job site safetyo Perform quantity tracking (including calculations) for purposes of productivity analysiso Provide document control for correspondence, submittals, RFI s, etc.o Work with Superintendent to ensure structures are built in conformance with the contract requirementso Assist with required inspections with local jurisdictionso Assist in carrying out a variety of basic field duties at the job site related to general constructiono Assist Site Superintendent with other duties as required including progress photos, maintaining a clean and organized job site, safety inspections, subcontractor communications, etc.o Prepare daily reports as related to crews, progress and issueso Attend weekly subcontractor meetings and assist in documentation for all meetingso Maintain daily log in Procoreo Coordinate and monitor the work of subcontractorso Assist the superintendent in preparing subcontractors completion lists.o Assist in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-builts in Procoreo Monitor satisfactory completion and commitment fulfillment of vendorso Assist with documenting lessons learnedo Create and monitor completion progress contractor punch lists in Procoreo Represent EXXCEL Project Management in a business-like and professional mannero Other duties as required to assist the project or company achieve successful outcomes Skillso Knowledge of construction principles/practices requiredo Knowledge AND experience with construction schedules and safetyo Knowledge of basic computer systems and software.o Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffoldingo Ability to lift objects at least 50 lbs.o Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions EducationDegree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering Technology. In some cases, EXXCEL will train individuals without an engineering education to perform the job. Construction experience and surveying ability is highly valued. Prefer up-to-date CPR/AED certificate and 30-hour OSHA training. ExperienceYou demonstrate strong written and verbal communication. You have some experience dealing with subcontracts and subcontractors. You have completed a successful internship or have experience on projects of at least $5 million (Design/Build preferred). 2 to 5 Years of construction field experience.
